Science ... by the bucket load

Yesterday I came across the SCImago Journal & Country Rank site. It contains a set of nice tools for ranking analyzing and comparing scientific indicators by country and/or by scientific field. The information is taken from the Scopus database. Here are some of the facts about Romania (and as a comparison ... let's say ... Poland). The range taken into consideration is 1996 - 2007.

Overall: Ranked 42 out of 233 with 33424 documents;
Computer Science: Ranked 40 out of 164 with 912 documents;
Engineering: Ranked 36 out of 200 with 4960 documents;
Mathematics: Ranked 30 out of 162 with 2854 documents;
